    Welcome to the wonderful world of Weimaraners, Harriers, and to PewterRun Kennel; we thank you for visiting our web site.  PewterRun is located approximately 20 miles south of Kansas City in southern Johnson County, Kansas.

   We are dedicated to the welfare and breeding of this loving athletic breed.  We are members of the Weimaraner Club of America,  Leavenworth Kennel Club, Northern Illinois Weimaraner Club, the PhD  Dog Training Center, and the Harrier Club of America.  Our Weimaraners actively participate in conformation, hunting, obedience, agility, and tracking, but they are also important members of our family.  We live with three triple champions, two double champion, one sweet old Weimaraner, and our beloved Harriers.

   We support the WCA Code of Ethics and believe in selective breeding with the ultimate goal of improving our breed, but we also support the Weimaraner and Harrier Rescue efforts and would be happy to refer you to these fine groups.

   Weimaraners are wonderful, athletic, and very active dogs; they certainly are not for everyone.  Weimaraners usually live approximately 10 to 12 years, so owning one is a long-term family commitment.  Please do your homework before you purchase a dog, and only buy from ethical breeders.
